YES has a banking desk, which assists students in securing educational loans for pursuing their studies abroad.

Criteria: A student should have passed his/her qualifying exam with a minimum Second division. SC/ST Candidates need to have only passed their qualifying exam.

Terms:The loan will be arranged on the student's name by taking the parent as a co-obligant. The existing eligible amount is up to Rs.8 lakhs, with the amount having been enhanced to Rs.15 lakhs in the recent budget. Also the new budget has a new clause wherein, no security is required for a loan up to Rs.7.5 lakhs.

Repayment:The maximum repayment period is between 60-72 months. Actual repayment towards the principal amount commences when the student completes the study or gets employment, whichever is earlier.
